Dragonfly Pet Concierge is family run, we are able to offer a personalised service taylored to your specific needs.

Our history is in the pet trade, we own an online pet store (Bobtail Pets) selling thousands of products for all types of animals. We also run a local pet food delivery service. We are always happy to combine our services and provide a reliable supply of pet food along with any service offered through Dragonfly Pet Concierge.

As such, we can offer a very unique and well placed service unlike many other pet sitters and dog walkers. A complete pet service encorporating both pet supplies delivered direct to your door along with care and enrichment for your pet as part of our dedicated dog walking or pet sitting services.

What is the Client Registration Process?

If you would like to become a Client of Dragonfly Pet Concierge please contact us either via our online contact forms or by phone, fax or txt. We will then discuss with you the services you are interested in and allocate you an appointment for us to meet with you and your pets in your own home prior to any formal booking. This is so we can discuss your pets requirements in depth and explain our services to you. This consultation is free of charge, will take approximately 25 minutes and helps to ensure your pet receives the best possible care.

We will provide all necessary paperwork at the meeting should you wish to make a booking following the meeting. We ask that all pets are up to date with vaccinations and must be on flea and tick preventative treatment for the safety of our other clients.

Do you operate a key holding service?
We do operate a key holding service and are Insured to do so. This service is offered free of charge to all our clients. Keys are kept secure within a safe. Addresses and client names are kept completely separate from keys to ensure absolute security at all times. We colour and code keys and alarm codes similarly to the system operated by an estate agent. If you loose your keys you will find this service extremely helpful, reducing the need entirely to pay the fees of a locksmith. The keys will also allow us to collect your pet for dog walks or trips to the Groomer etc. should you be at work or away, as well as provide emergency care should you unexpectedly be unable to get home or are simply working late and would like us to call round to feed your pets.

Most people have initial concerns and reservations in handing over keys but all our clients feel 100% reassured once they have met with us at the free consultation. We are fully Insured so we will ask you to sign an authority releasing your key to us and this authority will also confirm that your key is returnable to you at any time upon demand.

Do you charge extra for Weekends/Bank Holidays?
Unlike other pet services we do not charge our Clients extra during Weekends. Bank Holidays/Public Holidays are charged at double with the exception of the Christmas Holidays which incure additional charges.

We cover the vast majority of Greater Manchester and surrounding areas (use the M60 as a reference), we will happily provide services for all areas within the M60 as well as nearby surrounding areas. How many dogs do you walk at one time?
Our dog walks are 1-2-1 unless you request that we find a suitable partner for your dog to walk with or would like us to arrange a group walk. We never walk more than 4 dogs unless there are two walkers in which case we will walk 6 dogs. As you can see our services are flexible and we can cater for all types of doggy personalities.

Are you insured to walk dogs professionally?
We are insured to professionally care for and walk all kinds of dogs. Our insurance covers public liability; care, custody and control of your pet as well as loss of keys, homesitting and more. We are insured by Cliverton a specialist insurance supplier for this sector.
 
Do you offer dog walking at the weekends and after hours?
Yes, please contact us to see what we can offer you we do not charge extra for weekends.

What do you do in case of an emergency when dog walking?
We will assess the situation and call you to discuss the next steps. If we can’t get hold of you and medical attention is required, we will, so far as reasonably possible, take your dog to your veterinary practice that you will state on the registration form we will give you at our initial meeting, or, depending on the circumstance, the nearest veterinary practice.

Why should I use pet visiting, I've used kennels and catteries before?
There are many benefits to pet visiting. Many animals, especially cats, find it traumatic to leave their home and find themselves in unfamiliar surroundings. Through our pet visiting service they can remain in their own home and you can have the peace of mind that they are being well looked after. A further advantage to pet visiting is all the free extras which we include like collecting post, opening/closeing curtains, watering plants and generally make your home look occupied. We never use signage on our vehicles while this might loose us some advertising we feel it is necessary not to draw attention to the fact that you are away. Do you organise any regular events for dogs?
Yes, we are happy to be able to offer the dogs of Manchester regular scheduled events such as our doggy day trips which take place on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month. We organise trips further afield during summer to such places as Blackpool, Southport and the Peak District. On the 2nd Saturday of each month we organise a luxury pamper day combining a fun 2 hour walk with a trip to the groomers. Private day trips and trips to the groomers are also available any day of the month at Clients request. Each year we organise a dogs holiday which is a special event - with Dragonfly Pet Concierge your dog really can go on its very own holiday. We organise a full 7 days of activities usually in November.
